While not the largest surplus lines insurer, Western World prides itself on being an industry leader in many significant areas.
We have been staunch advocates of the legislative and regulatory differences afforded surplus lines insurers by insurance statutes in all jurisdictions in the country. These differences provide the freedoms necessary for the surplus lines market to function as the most important, voluntary residual market in the country. Western World executives and staff have consistently been at the forefront of industry advocacy efforts, through volunteer work, with many of our trade associations. That tradition will continue.
Western World has often been recognized for its support of the industry’s educational efforts through financial contribution, volunteer faculty service and staff participation.
The Western World executives and staff have contributed to many industry trade association efforts through committee work and board participation.
