On January 7, 2004, the members of both the National Association of Independent Insurers and the Alliance of American Insurers voted overwhelmingly to merge and create a new trade association known as the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI). This dynamic new organization represents over 1,000 companies that write 37% of U.S. property/casualty insurance market.
The Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) was founded in 1986 by industry professionals who recognized the need for a forum for individuals involved in the field of professional liability.
