This was great news for one innkeeper in Asheville, North Carolina. During a lightning storm, a tree on his property was struck by lightning, knocking it onto power lines.
A subsequent power surge caused the meter in his 1890's Victorian bed & breakfast to explode, igniting a fire that burned down the inn taking with it all of the property’s gorgeous period furnishings. Worse still, this bad luck struck at the outset of his peak season.

When we received the notice of the incident, a Western World Property Claims Manager was rapidly on the job working to get the Inn back up and running. Because we understand the unique needs of inn operators, we were able to quickly advance a portion of the claim, stemming losses in revenue and satisfying guests with alternative accommodations.
With Western World, the innkeeper was able to get back to the business of being in business.

Our Claims Manager worked with the Inn’s contractor to secure additional labor beyond that estimated in order to get the devastated property up and running in just four weeks-- two weeks earlier than originally estimated.
Our responsiveness hasn't changed over the years, but how we serve our clients and insureds is constantly evolving. We launched WWIP, the first platform that allows brokers to rate, quote, bind and issue right on the web. And, our new Western World search bar allows visitors to the site to find forms, applications, people, and more with fewer “clicks” and everyday language.
The Western World Integrated Platform (WWIP) is the first tool that gives brokers the ability to rate, quote, bind, and issue policies with just a few clicks of the mouse.
